Construction Oversight the Quito International Airport

In 2013, Cardno Latin America, as the owner's representative, supervised the construction of the new International Airport “Mariscal Sucre” in Quito, located 25 kilometers east of the city in the parish of Tababela. The airport extends over 1,500 ha. of which 540 correspond to the construction area. Cardno Latin America worked on-site and verified compliance with the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the design and construction of the airport, and verified the fulfillment of the Work Plan in consultation with its contractor and investors. Lastly, Cardno Latin America certified the budget’s use and approved termination certificates during the Substantial and Final phases of the work.
