In our work, Cardno Latin America aims to protect the environment and conserve it for future generations.

To celebrate this Earth Day, we share some of our field work photos that best demonstrate the beauty and diversity of our planet. 

Cardno Latin America is focused on environmental conservation and sustainable development through high standards of social and environmental responsibility. We work with clients to design and implement corporate responsibility policies, as well as help them adhere with their environmental management plans and standards enforced locally, internationally, or both.

At Cardno, safety is one of four fundamental values that guides our way of conducting business and implementing our work. As we provide social, environmental and engineering services in Latin America, we frequently work in rural, remote areas with specialized equipment, and often with limited access to communication and infrastructure, such as proper roads, hospitals, or police stations.

For these reasons, it is especially important that we work alongside our clients to treat safety as a priority, which entails implementing specialized procedures and training courses, among other things, that will enable us to create a safe environment for our people, clients and the communities where we work.

How does Cardno promote safety?

Today, Friday, March 8 is International Women's Day. At Cardno, we recognized this day with the theme: Balance for Better.

With this in mind, the Cardno Latin America operations analyzed collaborator data, and we are pleased to announce that we have a highly balanced work environment, when it comes to female and male collaborators.

On September 25, Cardno celebrated its 10th anniversary of operating in Peru. Cardno first opened its doors in 2008 in Lima, and has since been offering socio-environmental and engineering services to the hydrocarbon and mining industries.

We would like to extend our gratitude for all the effort and dedication of our collaborators in Peru, and all of those that have made this achievement possible, including our clients.

The Shushufindi Consortium, part of the Schlumberger group, has recognized Cardno Entrix for its excellent performance in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) during the year 2017.

Cardno Entrix Colombia SAS was created in 2017 as a subsidiary of Cardno Latin Americawith the aim of providing environmental, socioeconomic and engineering design services and solutions for the different industries in Colombia: mining, energy, industrial and infrastructure, among others. The new offices are located in the city of Bogota.

Melanie Aleman, Sustainable Development Specialist at Cardno Latin America, and Pablo Salvador, biologist at Cardno Latin America, travelled to Brisbane, Australia this April to participate in the 39th Annual Conference of the International Association for Impact Assessment. This year’s conference theme was “Evolution or Revolution: Where Next for Impact Assessment?” and it brought together more than 1000 participants from over 80 countries, sharing and debating the trends of impact assessment and other related topics.

On March 8th of this year, our female collaborators were recognized during our celebration of International Women's Day. As part of the event, the program “Women in Cardno” was officially introduced to the Latin America division, which was launched by global Cardno in 2014. “Women in Cardno” has the vision to provide opportunities for working women within the business, so they can grow professionally in a supportive environment.
